What is the Creative Kids Voucher ?
With the new Creative Kids initiative, the NSW government is assisting children in becoming more creative.
For each student aged 4.5 to 18 years old enrolled in school, parents, guardians, and carers can apply for a voucher worth up to $100 every calendar year.
The voucher can be used to pay for registration, participation, and tuition for a variety of creative activities, such as arts, theatre, dance, digital design, coding, and music classes, with a registered activity provider.
The coupon is valid for the entire calendar year in which it was issued.
The programme is open all year, so kids can participate at any time.
Where can I use my Creative Kids Voucher: Snapology Inspires Interest in Science, Math and Technology
If you are looking to find a place where you can redeem your Creative Kids Voucher, then look no further. Children and teens alike have long harbored a dread toward challenging school subjects such as Science and Math. This dread was only compounded by the addition of Engineering and Technology subjects, because of the continuing updates and advancements that are being made during this Digital Era. Ironically, despite their fear of these subjects, kids and teens are the ones who immediately embrace new tech as soon as they are introduced. It is more appropriate, therefore, to harness this love for technology and combine it with a complete, learned understanding of its creation and development.
For this reason, Snapology has come up with the best STEM and STEAM programs for kids of all ages. We believe that if kids love their tech, the greater will be their interest through hands-on, interactive programs and experiences on the development of these same technologies. As this interest is sustained, parents can expect better grades in these subjects in school and perhaps a lucrative career in technology for them in the future.
Creative Kids Voucher: Introducing Snapology’s STEM Programs
Generally speaking, Snapology’s STEM programs utilize popular learning toys, such as Lego and K’Nex, so that kids can better apply and understand the technical topics that they have learned in class. Because they are having so much fun playing, they don’t realize that they are learning many things as well.
Here are the STEM programs that Snapology is currently offering:
Pre-School
No child is too young to begin learning basic STEM concepts. At Snapology Pre-School, our students begin learning and developing science, technology, engineering, math and art skills at the ages of two to six years old. Our Pre-School programs include Junior Scientists, Junior Engineers, Junior Creators Club, and ABCs &123s. And, can you believe it, we also have Kinder Robotics!
Science
All Snapology programs discuss Science topics in one way or another. However, more in-depth learning can be obtained from Snapology Scientists, Junior Scientists (All About Animals), and Minecraft programs. Among the topics being taught are physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology, and geology.
Technology
Because today’s kids know how to use laptops, iPads, and smartphones, we have adapted the usage of these gadgets into our Technology programs, including Video Game Design, Stop-Motion Animation, and Robotics. Among the topics covered are coding, pseudo-coding, game mechanics, spatial planning, just to name a few.
Engineering
Much like Science, Engineering concepts are also discussed in all Snapology programs. Greater focus on the subject is given in the four Core Engineering Program levels (Junior, Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced) and in Amusement Park Engineering (wherein the core principles are applied to the creation and building of amusement park models with Lego® brick sets.
Art
Many educators say that Art has no place in STEM. But we at Snapology say nay. In fact, Art History is included in our program. Without art, kids will not be inspired to create or event, even if they know the STEM principles involved. Art plays a big role in code and video game design and animation. It is also evident in every Lego® and K’Nex model that our students build.
Math
Mathematics is an integral subject in all of our Snapology programs. While most kids find Math concepts difficult to learn and master, we incorporated these principles into practical applications, such as simple baking to complex robotics.
Robotics and Coding & Competition Robotics Teams
Through the Engineering principles that they have learned in our STEM program, students can now directly apply them to the creation of robots using Lego® and K’Nex sets. There are three levels in our Robotics Program, namely Kinder Robotics, Elementary Robotics, and Advanced Robotics.
Students can then bring their creations and compete in our Competition Robotics Teams Program. Participants in our First Lego® League Junior and First Lego® League are kids aged six to nine years and nine to 14 years, respectively.
